That means you can leave work on Saturday slightly early and still reach before sunset.

It feels like a hill station without the crowd. Ananthagiri is one of the oldest forest belts in Telangana. The campsite sits in this green stretch, so your evening is spent under trees and stars, not next to a highway.

Ananthagiri Hills Camping (₹1,600 per adult — the easy default)

This is our flagship overnight package and the one most couples book. It needs a minimum of just 2 guests, so it works for a spontaneous two-person trip. Check-in is at 4:00 PM; you get the swimming pool from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, indoor and outdoor games, evening tea and snacks, music night every Saturday, dinner (veg and non-veg options), and breakfast the next morning before an 11:30 AM checkout. Luxury Lakeside Camping (₹2,000 per adult — the premium option)

If you want a quieter, more scenic night, the lakeside campsite is the upgrade. It adds adventure rope activities in the evening and again the next morning, hi-tea snacks at 5:30 PM, a later dinner window (8:40–10:30 PM) with chicken biryani on the menu, and a campfire around 10:30 PM when the weather allows. Night Camping (₹1,500 per adult — for a group of friends)

Is Camping Safe for Couples? (Rules, Honestly Explained)

This is the question we get most, so here is the straight answer.

• Yes, couples are welcome. Both guests must be 18 or older, and original government ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, voter ID, or passport) is required for both of you at check-in. Photocopies and photos on your phone are not accepted — carry the originals.
• The campsite is gated with on-ground coordinators, well-lit tent zones, and clean, sanitised Western washrooms.
• Couples and families get separate tent allocations away from larger party groups whenever possible.
• One honest planning note: the main gate closes at 10:00 PM on the flagship campsite. If you plan to leave the campsite for any reason in the evening, be back before then.

How Your Evening Actually Flows (Flagship Package)

Here is the honest hour-by-hour picture, so you know what you are signing up for:

• 4:00 PM — Check in, settle into your tent, walk the grounds while there is daylight.
• 5:00–8:30 PM — Pool time. Change rooms are near the pool area.
• 5:00–6:00 PM — Evening tea and snacks are served.
• 6:00 PM onward — Badminton, volleyball, cricket, and indoor games; the light fades around 6:30 and the temperature drops pleasantly.
• 8:00 PM — Saturday music night begins.
• 8:30–10:00 PM — Dinner: bagara rice, steamed rice, chicken curry, veg curry, and sambar.
• 10:00 PM — Main gate closes; campfire conversations and stargazing continue in the tent zone.
• Day 2, 8:30 AM — Breakfast (puri with curry, upma, or idli and bonda, with tea and coffee).
• 11:30 AM — Checkout. Most couples add a stop at the Ananthagiri viewpoint or the temple on the drive back — the viewpoint area is about 12 km from the campsite.

What Couples Should Pack

The list is short, and one item matters more than people expect:

• A light hoodie or jacket — nights get genuinely cool, and guests mention this in reviews constantly. One wrote: “Night gets little cold so better carry a light hoodie.”
• A power bank — charging points are near the main area, not inside tents.
• Spare clothes for the pool, personal medication, comfortable footwear, and your original ID documents.

Planning the Drive

Leave Hyderabad by 2:30–3:00 PM to reach comfortably before the 4:00 PM check-in. The Hyderabad–Chevella–Vikarabad road is smooth, and the last stretch into the hills is scenic. Transport is not included in any package, so drive your own car or bike, or book a cab for the weekend.
